About The Position

The Looker Visualization Engineer will design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Looker. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in LookML, and the ability to collaborate with data engineering teams to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Looker Expertise: Strong experience in LookML, dashboard development, and visualization best practices.
• SQL Proficiency: Ability to write complex queries and optimize for performance.
• Data Modeling: Understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with GCP or other cloud environments.
• Scripting: Knowledge of Python or similar for automation and integration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Microsoft Fabric - One Lake
• Microsoft Fabric - Power BI / Semantic model
• ANSI-SQL

Nice To Haves

• Experience with BI tools beyond Looker (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Exposure to ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Looker dashboards, reports, and visualizations aligned with business requirements.
• Write and optimize LookML models for efficient data querying and visualization.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data integrity and performance across Looker environments.
• Implement best practices for dashboard design, including usability, accessibility, and performance optimization.
• Work closely with business analysts and product owners to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Looker data models and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
