About The Position

QSL is seeking an on-call Longshoreman to join their team. This role involves flexible scheduling with on-call availability, and weekly hours may vary based on operational needs. Occasional work at other marine terminals within the QSL network may be offered. The company provides various training courses on machinery, standard operating procedures, and health and safety. Requirements

• Availability to work on-call with rotating schedules including day, night, evening, and weekend.
• Enthusiasm for hands-on outdoor work, including tasks on the dock and within ship holds.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating machinery, such as forklifts, loaders, and overhead cranes.
• Experience working at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-call duties with rotating schedules including day, night, evening, and weekend availability.
• Engage in hands-on outdoor work, including tasks on the dock and within ship holds.
• Operate machinery such as forklifts, loaders, and overhead cranes (asset).
• Work at heights and in confined spaces (asset).
• Obtain a TWIC card (reimbursed after 40 hours).
