About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our school community in New London, CT. This role will provide classroom instruction and support during an extended teacher absence, ensuring continuity of student learning.
Requirements
- Valid Connecticut Substitute Teaching Authorization or Educator License (PK‑12)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Flexibility to accept assignments across grade levels
Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher
- Maintain a safe, positive, and orderly classroom environment
- Support students’ academic and social-emotional development
- Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators
- Adapt to various grade levels and subject areas as needed
