About The Position

Maternity Leave Coverage Kansas City Christian School is seeking a qualified long-term substitute teacher to cover maternity leave for our upper school art department, beginning August 5th – October 30th. This position involves covering Middle School Art, HS Art Foundations, 2-D / 3-D Art and Graphic Design. A candidate would follow established curriculum and lesson plans provided by the current art teacher in order to help maintain continuity of instruction during the regular teacher’s absence.

Requirements

• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Committed Christian and in agreement with our statement of faith

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction aligned with the curriculum and lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
• Be able to grade student work, maintain grade records, take attendance, and provide feedback to student as needed
• Participate in staff meetings as needed
• Commitment to the full assignment period
