About The Position

This is a long-term substitute teaching position for a 2nd-grade class at Hollymead Elementary School for the 2025-26 school year. The role involves teaching, leading, and inspiring students to become lifelong contributors and leaders in a dynamic and diverse society. Requirements

Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement in Elementary Education.
Candidates should be innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, knowledgeable in their content area and instructional practices, and continually growing and improving.
Passion for closing equity and achievement gaps.
Prepared to engage with our Culturally Responsive Teaching model.

Responsibilities

Teach, lead, and inspire students.
Engage students in authentic, challenging, and relevant learning experiences.
Support the division's goals of Thriving Students, Affirming and Empowering Communities, and Equitable, Transformative Resources.
Implement the Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of the Equity Mission Statement.
