About The Position
Lake Park High School is currently hiring for the internal-only position of Long-Term Substitute – Mathematics Teacher. This position requires coverage during periods 1, 2, 3, and 5, with the opportunity to work the remainder of the day. The position is anticipated to be from 8/17/2026 to 9/4/2026.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Proper licensure required
- ESL endorsement preferred
- Experience preferred
- Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and cloud-based applications
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Demonstrated aptitude as a self-starter who works with minimal supervision
- Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
- Effective communication, human relations, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong orientation toward providing customer service
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students
Responsibilities
- Substitute teachers serve the District in the same capacity as a regular classroom teacher during their absence.
