About The Position

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Long-term Intern to join our Civil Programs Team based in Columbus, MS. You will work alongside programs, engineering, and operations to gain valuable work force experience. This position will be involved and assist in many facets of daily operations including but not limited to: Interpreting and understanding technical design data, creating and maintaining detailed work instructions, operating SAP, Operational scheduling, and project management. From building to servicing the next generation of aerospace, our team focuses on quality, productivity and efficiency. We ensure the highest quality of care and safety is built into each aircraft we assemble and maintain. Our team members make it happen.

Requirements

  • Must be currently local to Columbus/Starkville, MS area as this is a long-term, onsite internship opportunity
  • Must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year applicable program at an accredited College or University.
  • Completed 1 year of course work towards a business related function, preferably the majors listed above.
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form in English.
  • Ability to use mainframe and PC computers, and associated hardware and software (MS Office especially Excel and Word), SAP (Module MM, PP, Outlook).
  • A strong knowledge of technical terms.
  • Up to 10% Domestic and International Travel involved
  • Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Project Management, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business.
  • Fluent in French or German.
  • Knowledge of Industrial engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Industrial Project management and planning operations.
  • Aide in setting tracking aircraft status and allocations.
  • Help the Civil Programs team by updating and tracking information across multiple contracts.
  • Learn and create leading indicators to inform leadership decision making.
  • Aide the Civil Programs team in maintaining the master schedules for each project.
  • Make notes and updates to project schedules in order to keep schedules up to date.
  • This position will work with industry professionals on a daily basis to not only add value to the organization, but gain real world practical knowledge of how the modern aircraft industry works.
  • Other duties as assigned.
