About The Position

DirectHire Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care (LTC) | Dimmitt, TX Position Summary Trinity is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Long-Term Care team on the night shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM). This position provides direct nursing care to residents in a low-acuity skilled nursing environment, ensuring quality care while promoting resident comfort, dignity, and independence. The RN is responsible for assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, supervising nursing support staff, and responding to changes in resident condition. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys building lasting relationships with residents while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or compact state license eligible for Texas practice).
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
  • Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers and family members as appropriate.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social services, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Respond to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition with sound clinical judgment.
  • Promote resident safety and maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
  • Participate in shift reports and communicate resident updates to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents.
