About The Position

The Long Island Nets Seasonal Internship is a part-time, paid program that runs from October 14th, 2026 to May 13th, 2027. Start and end dates can be flexible depending on your academic calendar. Summer Interns are expected to work about 20-40 hours per week with some days expected to be in office and other days remote. Each intern will be assigned to a specific department in which they will remain or rotate for the duration of the program. All internships with the Long Island Nets will require flexibility to work games and events, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Program hours for this internship will take place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY with occasional hours worked at our headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

  • Required to work hours at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in addition to occasional hours at our headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays, to fulfill primary role objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support gameday and event logistics, budget and expense tracking, administrative projects, and the preparation of reports, presentations, and dashboards.
  • Assist with Kids Zone operations and serve as a liaison between the business staff and Basketball Operations.
  • Support gameday PR activations, lead media credential creation and distribution, and assist with basketball communications and media availability.
  • Attend games and practices while helping ensure communications operations are handled efficiently and professionally.
  • Support gameday execution by stage managing, coordinating performers and entertainment talent, managing props and promotional inventory, and assisting with sponsored activations and fan engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to event logistics, run-of-show preparation, scheduling, and creative ideas for theme nights and entertainment programming.
  • Capture and edit event highlights, create social media recaps, support email marketing, and assist with campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Track audience engagement, campaign performance, and industry trends to identify opportunities and help strengthen future marketing efforts.
  • Research prospective partners, develop briefs and recap materials, track partnership performance, and support partner events and game night activations.
  • Assist with community programming, ticket distribution, team and player engagement, and relationship building with organizations that align with the Long Island Nets’ community pillars.
  • Research and prospect new business, conduct outreach to prospective clients, and support the planning and execution of season ticket member benefits.
  • Maintain sales and ticketing information in Ticketmaster Archtics and Salesforce while assisting with fan engagement and on-court experiences on game days.
