About The Position

The Logistics / Transportation Coordinator is responsible for managing the coordination, booking and overall execution of transportation lanes. This role involves optimizing transport planning for efficiency, providing analysis on transportation spend, and developing relationships with carriers. The coordinator will also review vendor bookings, champion continuous improvement projects, and assist with international shipping documentation and export compliance.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in logistics / transportation management.
• Results-driven with a keen ability to make sound decisions.
• Microsoft Office knowledge required.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with warehouse, sales and support teams to ensure outbound / inbound freight is properly bid and correct carriers are being selected based on cost and customer expectations.
• Optimize transport planning in the most efficient way for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide analysis and recommendations specific to transportation spend.
• Generate and maintain relationships, including rate negotiations, with existing and new 3rd party carriers.
• Review vendor bookings and provide approval or rejection of bookings based on operational and financial impact.
• Champion continuous improvement projects to reduce overall freight spend.
• Assist with the development of international shipping documentation and provide guidance on export compliance requirements as needed.
