About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Trainer to join our team in Olathe, KS. This role is crucial in preparing, facilitating, and monitoring learning activities within the Logistics Department. The ideal candidate will assist in designing, developing, and delivering training programs that are tailored to employees' specific functions in the warehouse. You will be responsible for assessing competency levels, providing feedback, and designing improvement programs to enhance the productivity and efficiency of both new hires and existing employees.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in training and instructing others.
• Ability to interpret different learning styles and adapt training delivery accordingly.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, warehouse software, and Google/Windows/Microsoft-based systems.
• Previous experience in performing all major tasks in the department.
• Knowledge of inbound functions (e.g., Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment) and/or outbound functions (e.g., Picking, Checking).
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training activities related to onboarding and cross-training of operations employees.
• Ensure that work instructions, quick reference guides, and other training materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Oversee compliance training for new employees within the Learning Management System (MyTLink/SuccessFactors).
• Collaborate with management and the Logistics Training Coordinator to create individualized training plans.
• Utilize various delivery methods to facilitate learning.
• Provide retraining sessions as necessary, based on performance evaluations.
• Work with the Corporate Training team to develop new training topics as required (e.g., new policy implementation, safety training).
• Offer ongoing feedback to trainees throughout the training process.
• Report on trainee progress daily to the Logistics Training Coordinator and management.
• Make recommendations on retraining needs based on performance review standards.
• Focus on training, cross-training, and performance improvement activities.
• Align with the Logistics Training Coordinator to maintain and update training matrices and development plans.
• Follow up on training effectiveness through regular assessments and feedback sessions.
• Incorporate trainee feedback into training curriculum improvements.
