As a Logistics Technician at our Midland, MI site, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable movement of materials that power our global manufacturing network. Requirements

  • Occupational Safety & Health: Consistently follows safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices
  • Packaging & Labeling: Experienced in packaging products for global distribution and applying regulatory and customer-specific labeling requirements
  • Forklift & Equipment Operation: Skilled in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment for safe material transport across the site
  • Inventory & Material Handling: Proficient in managing raw materials, executing material movements, and manually handling various product types
  • Filter System Maintenance: Capable of performing filter housing changes using ECOPS as part of routine equipment checks
  • Team Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams, including schedulers and vendors, to resolve logistics and shipping issues
  • Emergency Response: Participates in crisis response and supports site emergency preparedness activities
  • Computer & System Literacy: Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise systems such as SAP, Sample Manager, Workday, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Basic Math & Documentation: Applies basic math skills for inventory and packaging tasks; ensures accurate documentation and labeling
  • Operating Discipline: Adheres to standard task lists and procedures, including equipment prep, sampling, and field checks to maintain operational reliability
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Must have a current, valid US driver’s license.
  • Willing and able to work all applicable shifts on a rotating basis (including weekends) and work overtime when needed.
  • Successfully complete a background check and pass a drug screen if the job offer is received and accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years of experience in manufacturing or a related field
  • Military experience strongly valued
  • Fork truck operation experience preferred
  • Familiarity with safe work permits and energy isolation procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and/or enterprise systems such as SAP, Sample Manager, Workday, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Possession of a Class A CDL is highly encouraged due to equipment movement responsibilities across the site

Responsibilities

  • Operate and field-check process equipment and control systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance
  • Monitor process conditions and respond to deviations using sound troubleshooting skills
  • Perform filter housing changes using ECOPS as part of routine equipment maintenance
  • Package Dow products for global distribution, ensuring quality standards and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare raw materials for operations and manage material movement across the site
  • Safely operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to transport materials
  • Manually break down, arrange, stack, and repackage various materials and products
  • Affix labels, stickers, and documentation to packaged goods per regulatory and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with schedulers and vendors to process returns and resolve shipping issues
  • Participate in crisis response activities and support emergency preparedness efforts
  • Follow Operating Discipline principles and standard task lists, including equipment preparation, sampling, and field checks
  • Align daily operational activities with plant and business goals to drive performance and reliability
