The primary functions of this role are to ensure the successful production of our facility by unloading raw materials, supplying materials to the production lines, removing finished goods, and loading trucks for distribution. This role involves trained proficiency in using all dock equipment, understanding and executing proper shipping documentation and loading procedures, and timely truck loading to avoid late charges. The technician will inspect incoming materials and trailers for defects, receive all materials including bakery ingredients, and identify/locate all packaging and raw materials. A key aspect is understanding and utilizing FIFO procedures for all raw materials and packaging, and ensuring sandwich lines, mezzanine, and bakery are adequately supplied with quality materials. The role also requires performing functions of Logistics Receiving Operator and Logistics Shipping Operator, using proper Personal Protective Equipment, utilizing shipping and receiving software, and safely and efficiently operating racking systems and mobile equipment. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment is essential. Teamwork is crucial, involving equipment maintenance, zone ownerships, developing and following Logistics SOPs, OPLs & Safe Practices, participating in team meetings, and assisting leadership with necessary tasks. Support for the logistics department's goals of Zero Injuries, 100% Paperwork Accuracy, 100% TEI, and 100% Paperwork Completion is expected.
