About The Position

The Senior Logistics Technician is responsible for independently executing and coordinating complex logistics operations and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal controls. This role involves managing import duties, VAT submissions, and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments. The technician will also be responsible for creating export documentation, filing required documentation with trucking companies, and coordinating common carrier activities. Accurate documentation of material movements in the inventory management system, generation and analysis of logistics reports, and maintaining customer databases are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the technician will work to resolve customer issues and recommend process improvements to enhance logistics accuracy.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
• Advanced experience with ERP systems and compliance documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and organize work to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
• Ability to recognize and optimize work processes.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and coordinate complex logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal controls.
• Raise import duty tax and submit value added tax (VAT).
• Coordinate both inbound and outbound shipments in the most cost-effective manner.
• Route outbound delivered loads and inbound back-hauls.
• Create required export documentation to support international orders.
• File required documentation with trucking companies for corrective action.
• Coordinate common carrier activities.
• Accurately document material movements and logistics records in the inventory management system.
• Generate and analyze logistics reports to support KPI tracking and decision making.
• Maintain customer database and profiles by customer location.
• Maintain customer delivery time windows.
• Work to resolve errors and issues with customers.
• Recommend and implement process changes to enhance logistics accuracy.
