About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the outbound military household goods department, managing all associated document workflows and supervising a team of coordinators. This role requires the ability to perform subordinate duties, coordinate with the Operations team, and act as the primary contact point for shipment updates at the military base. The position also involves customer service, invoicing, administration, and collaboration with warehouse staff and upper management to identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (required), preferably in Business or Logistics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience across business and administrative functions
  • Exempt work status
  • Strong understanding of military outbound processes and the movement of personal household goods into and out of Hawaii
  • Excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to pay close attention to details
  • Must be detail-oriented and motivated, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with proven experience
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), and TMS (Transportation Management System)
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, scanners, postage machines, and phone systems.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening (to include marijuana, medical marijuana, and THC)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the outbound military household goods department and manage all associated document workflows.
  • Supervise a team of coordinators, serving as their primary point of escalation and assisting in training.
  • Maintain the ability to step in and perform all subordinate duties, including organizing and maintaining military outbound files, following through with customers/clients on key dates/delivery schedules, and working with the Operations team to facilitate/coordinate moving services to clients.
  • Act as the primary contact point at the military base for shipment updates.
  • Maintain an understanding of important rules for military shipments to ensure that all documentation meets all regulations.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, clients, visitors, and coworkers.
  • Actively correspond with customers via email and telephone, process customer service requests, utilize proper phone etiquette, and maintain email correspondence with service providers to provide timely responses to logistic inquiries.
  • Prepare and process invoicing for select customers and military shipments.
  • Prepare related shipping documents, such as pickup/delivery documents and shipping manifests, as well as trucking requests.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff to coordinate container shipping and loading.
  • Oversee container routing information and related processes.
  • Collaborate closely with upper management to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and help other departments as needed.
  • Other related duties as needed.
