About The Position

Logistics Supervisor Location: Portsmouth, NH (On-site) At Lonza, our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together to help improve lives around the world. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will lead a critical team responsible for ensuring materials, samples, and finished products move safely, efficiently, and compliantly throughout our GMP manufacturing operation. Your leadership will directly support manufacturing success, customer satisfaction, and the delivery of therapies that make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven logistics leader to drive operational excellence, develop high-performing teams, and influence key logistics processes across Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Raw Material Sampling, Inventory Control, and Forward Pick Area operations. Shift: Rotating 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) on an alternating 2-2-3 schedule.

Requirements

  • Experience leading teams within logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, supply chain, or GMP-regulated environments
  • Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, and material handling operations
  • Experience developing employees through coaching, training, and performance management
  • Strong understanding of GMP requirements, quality systems, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience utilizing SAP or similar inventory and warehouse management systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and delivering operational results

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations across Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Raw Material Sampling, Inventory Control, and Forward Pick Area functions
  • Develop, coach, and train Logistics Specialists while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and disciplined execution
  • Ensure all logistics activities are performed in compliance with GMP requirements, quality systems, SOPs, and site procedures
  • Drive operational performance through KPI management, process monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain audit and inspection readiness while representing Logistics during customer audits and regulatory inspections
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, material allocations, product shipments, material returns, and warehouse operations to support manufacturing schedules
  • Review and improve processes, procedures, and work instructions to ensure efficiency, compliance, and business value
