About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for meeting warehouse financial standards by monitoring operational best practices and maintaining efficiency. This role ensures 100% compliance with the company Safety Program and manages the delivery of supplies and equipment to departments. The supervisor will maintain the storage area by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, and recommending improvements. Key responsibilities include maintaining inventory through monthly physical counts and reconciling variances, securing the warehouse, and updating job knowledge through continuous learning. The position also involves accomplishing warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, and managing employees, as well as meeting operational standards by contributing to strategic plans, implementing standards, and identifying improvements. The supervisor will also manage inventory movement and ensure equipment is kept in operating condition through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. This role directly leads and manages a crew of 5-6 employees.

Requirements

  • 4+ years as a Supervisor in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Proficient with all MS office programs
  • Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
  • Experienced analyzing data and reporting
  • Must be able to obtain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge, CBP Security Seal, Airport Driver Permit, and/or any local or security level badging needed to fulfill the assignment.

  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse operational improvements.
  • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Directly responsible for leading and managing a crew for 5-6 employees.
