About The Position

As a Logistics supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating activities for the warehouse and shipping departments for a given shift. You will coach, guide, and mentor a group of associates to create a culture of safety, quality, and service. You will collaborate across departments and sites in an effort to drive continuous improvement within inventory management, labor productivity, and customer service activities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in Distribution / Warehouse setting or supply chain management role
  • Food/beverage and/or CPG experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, and WES preferred
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk, and hear.
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain a culture of safety through regular presence on the floor, engaging with team members across functions to identify improvement opportunities, and ensure completion of all relevant training and observations
  • Ensure all team members follow standard work procedures that allow for accurate inventory counts across all raw materials and finished goods inventory locations
  • Develop and sustain staffing model to meet inbound and outbound shipment requirements, while striving to remain a shipper of choice for carriers
  • Hire, train, develop, and grow a team of hourly associates to exceed customer expectations and consistently deliver financial results
  • This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality
  • Other responsibilities, as necessary.
