About The Position

As a Logistics Supervisor, you’ll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN. You’ll get to direct the supervision of hourly employees for assigned departments, review inventory for obsolescence and quality holds, and recommend actions. You will ensure product is shipped on time, coordinate expedites with customer service, and perform inventory cycle counts. You will also complete MMOG’s, perform finished goods inventory, procure materials needed for departments of responsibility, and ensure housekeeping and 6S initiatives are completed and met for the department. You will comply with and enforce all safety rules, regulations, and policies for employees, complete accident investigation forms in a timely manner, participate in investigations, and be part of solutions for improved safety for all near miss, recordable or lost time incidents. You will be proactive with continuous improvement projects, processes, and systems for the department and communicate with the management team any difficulties or issues that arise due to the condition of machines, employee actions, or quality problems. You will also provide training as needed/required to employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, management or related field preferred
  • Supervisory experience, 3+ years, manufacturing experience preferred
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing, quality and safety practices
