About The Position

allnex is a leading global company in the coatings industry, creating products that protect surfaces and enhance sustainability. We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong interest and knowledge in the logistics field to join our team as a Logistics Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily follow-up of import and export shipments and related tasks, ensuring smooth and compliant operations. Requirements

3 - 5 years of experience in Supply chain activities including customer service and/or logistics distribution processes
Logistics degree or equivalent Logistics experience.

Nice To Haves

SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, consolidate, and execute the export distribution of products when available for shipment.
Proactively interface and ensure effective coordination with freight forwarders, distribution centers, air/ocean carriers, Customer Service, Planning, and Logistics.
Strive to minimize shipping cost by consolidating shipments as much as possible with minimal impact to transit times and operate with sense of urgency to ensure transit times are not negatively impacted.
Safely operate sit-down forklifts and Ottawa.
Participate to transversal meetings and trainings involving export activities.
Maintain necessary records, files and reports and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory guidelines applicable to record keeping and training requirements like IATA, DOT or IMDG.
Comply with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
Responsible for the safe operation of the unit, compliance with health requirements and protection of the environment, including energy conservation.
