About The Position

This position is responsible for owning execution and accuracy of domestic and international shipping documentation, customs compliance, and logistics coordination to ensure efficient and compliant movement of goods. The role plays a critical part in minimizing delays, mitigating compliance risks, and supporting on-time delivery across operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics with direct involvement in import / export documentation and customs processes
  • High School Education a must
  • Strong working knowledge of international shipping documents, customs clearance procedures, and Incoterms
  • Experience coordinating directly with customs brokers and carriers
  • Familiarity with HTS classification and trade compliance requirements
  • Experience using ERP systems for inventory and shipments processing
  • Effective communication skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with ability to audit and validate complex documentations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Own preparation, review, and audit of domestic and international shipping documentation, including AWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, BOLs, PoDs, and customs filings
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations (Customs, EAR, etc.)
  • Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and compliant shipment execution
  • Verify accuracy of shipment data, including quantities, values, and product classifications prior to shipment
  • Apply and validate correct Incoterms and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, and documentation issues
  • Execute and maintain accurate shipment transactions in ERP system with full traceability
  • Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, production, procurement, and customer service to ensure alignment and on-time delivery
  • Receive and process inbound shipments validating against supporting documentation
  • Document, escalate, and support resolution of shipment discrepancies, damages, and compliance risks
  • Provide timely resolutions to logistics and compliance related issues
  • Manage communication with internal teams, vendors, brokers, and customers
  • Support continues improvement initiatives across logistics and documentation processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
