The Logistics Specialist supports the Transportation Management team by coordinating LTL shipments, managing TMS data, and communicating with carriers, buyers, and vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in logistics and supply chain. Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Teams for data tracking and team collaboration.
  • Willingness to learn in the transportation industry; able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FedEx Ship Manager software.
  • Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • 1+ years of experience in a logistics, shipping, or supply chain role.
  • Familiarity with LTL freight operations, BOL creation, carrier rate structures, or freight invoicing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage LTL orders end-to-end, including FedEx Freight bill of lading (BOL) creation, distribution to shippers, and general rate quoting.
  • Review, revise, and follow up on LTL orders to ensure accuracy and on-time execution.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers and internal buyers to confirm schedules and address delays or exceptions.
  • Review and enter freight bid responses, ensuring all submitted rates are captured and accurate.
  • Support the team in managing and updating FTL orders as assigned, including order revisions for dates, release order, and freight rates and allowances.
  • Perform accurate data entry and daily operations within the TMS.
  • Archive and organize the team’s email inbox to be searchable and workable.
  • Review freight payables not automatically processed by the system and close with supervisor direction.
  • Contact freight carriers to initiate resolution for aging bills, billing discrepancies, and invoice disputes.
  • Support the team on projects, assignments, and process improvement initiatives as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
