About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator supports the Aerospace org by managing end-to-end logistics for Ground Gateway Terminals. This role focuses on coordinating international shipments, maintaining on-time delivery performance, and partnering closely with internal teams and external logistics service providers in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of experience in logistics coordination, freight operations, or supply chain management.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar logistics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of shipment documentation and processes when working with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work.
  • Demonstrated bias for action and ability to respond quickly to shipment requests, emails, and time-sensitive issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly respond to logistics service providers and internal partners.
  • Customer-obsessed mindset with a focus on protecting on-time delivery performance and meeting stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to work staggered or non-standard hours to support global shipment coverage across multiple time zones.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP Transportation Management System (SAP TMS) or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience managing international freight, including customs coordination and import/export compliance.
  • Familiarity with logistics service provider management and carrier coordination, including working with ocean, air, and ground carriers.
  • Exposure to international logistics with shipments originating in Asia and shipping globally.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms (for example, FCA, DDP/DDC) and their impact on logistics responsibilities and documentation.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-region shipment programs in APAC, EMEA, and LATAM.
  • Understanding of commercial invoicing, proof of delivery (POD/PRD), and interactions with vessel carriers, steamship lines, and other freight providers.
  • Experience with transportation, inventory, and data entry in a logistics or third-party logistics environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to bring forward ideas that raise operational standards.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments for Ground Gateway Terminals to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to service level agreements across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM regions.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics activities for ground gateway hardware, including scheduling, tracking, and follow-up on active and new shipments.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for logistics service providers and carriers on active shipments, responding quickly to time-sensitive inquiries and pickup or delivery requirements.
  • Update and process shipments using SAP Transportation Management System (TMS) or similar systems, ensuring accurate and timely data entry to maintain shipment visibility and operational integrity.
  • Monitor dashboards, emails, and shipment requests and take prompt action to resolve issues, answer questions, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Coordinate with internal logistics teams, transportation tracking teams, and other internal program partners to support global deployment schedules and protect on-time delivery performance.
  • Engage with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics service providers to manage purchase orders, documentation, and financial aspects related to shipments.
  • Handle shipment documentation and process requirements, including commercial invoices, proof of delivery, and other carrier and customs-related paperwork.
  • Support customs and import compliance coordination for international shipments, including understanding and applying Incoterms where relevant.
  • Provide proactive and transparent shipment status updates, ensuring real-time visibility into logistics operations for program and leadership stakeholders.
  • Assist in building, maintaining, and improving standard operating procedures, playbooks, and operational documentation to drive process improvement and long-term sustainability.
  • Contribute to data quality improvements that enable better reporting, planning, and operational visibility for ground systems logistics leadership.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, proposing enhancements, and insisting on high standards in logistics execution.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams whose work aligns with the gateway program to ensure smooth delivery to sites around the world.
  • Write and refine procedures and workflows to streamline logistics operations and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
