Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year data entry, computer use, stockroom, and receiving
• Ability to use MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to apply knowledge of inventory principles and stock requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and speak clearly.
• Ability to exert from 20 up to 50 pounds of force.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dyes, replacement parts, shop supplies, and equipment such as measuring devices and office supplies in an industrial establishment.
• Keeps records of supplies issued to and returned by workers.
• Searches for lost or misplaced tools.
• Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
• Unpacks and stores new materials.
• Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.
• May coat tools with grease or other preservatives using brush or spray gun.
• May attach identification tags or engrave or write identifying information on tools and equipment using marking tool.
• Performs other related duties as required.
