The incumbent may be responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring inbound equipment and materials shipments, managing the warehouse including controlling material movement throughout the entire product lifecycle, leading the coordination of inbound logistics activities from plants, tracking data and reporting metrics for ongoing projects, and inventory control system transactions, cycle counting and receiving support. Under general supervision, follows established company policies and procedures and applies acquired job skills to create and manage Import/Export and Domestic Shipment Files. This includes file creation, building loads, selecting modes/carriers, tracking shipments, issuing import instructions, issuing delivery instructions to brokers, issuing arrival notices to customers, updating transit reports, updating databases, and entering required information into the ERP system to ensure invoicing for shipments is done. The role also involves managing finished goods inventory, preparing/updating and issuing product order fulfillment reports, proofing shipping documents, and preparing periodic reports for U.S. customs. Additional responsibilities include providing back-up for production planning at contract manufacturers, managing customer returns and non-conforming material transactions, coordinating donation and sale efforts of low turn inventory, providing input on efficiency improvements, and filing/resolving freight claims. The role also requires reviewing and coding service provider invoices, complying with conduct codes and regulations, and assisting with projects as assigned.
