About The Position

DPP is seeking a Logistics Specialist III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry. This role involves preparing logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals for deployment and stocking. Responsibilities include routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining records of equipment, components, repair parts, and manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities. The specialist will ensure shipping activities comply with state, federal, and global regulations, as well as import/export requirements.

Requirements

Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
Progressive experience with inventory databases
High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
HazMat Training/Certification
Ability to operate a Forklift
Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record
Understanding of Shelf Life
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
