About The Position

V2X is growing and looking for a Logistics Specialist II to join their team in Indianapolis. This individual will be a team lead for one of two key Logistics Asset areas, responsible for ensuring the coordination and distribution of work to meet internal and external customer needs, staff training, and coordinating activities throughout the site.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience utilizing SAP systems and planning of tasking.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a leading and developing a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to handle difficult discussions.
  • Ability to communicate technical concerns in a manner the audience can understand.
  • Knowledge of SAP applications including Horizon, S4
  • Knowledge of S4 Shipping processes

  • One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination of daily work tasking, mainly through direct supervision, with 10+ bargaining unit and support team members.
  • Plans, schedules, and manage efficient movement of material throughout the facility.
  • Support and instill a culture of safety, quality and DFAR compliance.
  • Plan, organize and manage tasking to ensure that work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
  • Use analytic skills along with prioritizing work assignments and bargaining unit tasking.
  • May conduct interviews and make staffing recommendations.
  • Share key organizational communications with teams and ensure appropriate actions are completed.
  • Continuous improvement of processes which may extend to other key functional areas.
  • Maintain the data necessary for compliance with the various facility certifications.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Assess, maintain, and develop PKI for continual improvement and work analysis.
  • Data entry and maintenance related to systems.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time following established procedures and schedules.
  • Create individual and team metrics for supervisor review.
  • Assist in maintaining functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assess, communicate and acquire needs of team members.
  • Execute strategic thinning to troubleshoot and resolve fundamental challenges.
