About The Position

This role involves preparing logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals for deployment and stocking. The specialist will be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities. The position also requires coordinating shipping activities that adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
  • Experience with inventory databases.
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • This position may require deployment for a period of up to 90 days, depending on mission needs.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
  • Current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in logistics software and tools.
  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
  • HazMat Training/Certification.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
  • Understanding of shelf life.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

  • Oversee the preparation and documentation of logistics materials, including spares, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage the shipping and routing of materials, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain and analyze records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
  • Optimize the allocation and organization of storage facilities for logistics materials.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Logistics Specialist I.
