About The Position

The Logistics Specialist I position is based onsite at Arnett Hospital and involves managing supplies within the operating room space and Surgical Inventory Management space. This is achieved using a WaveMark scanner and RFSmart handheld device. Key duties include downstacking and sorting pallets in the morning, followed by managing supplies specifically for the surgery department. This is a non-sedentary role, requiring the individual to be on their feet for the majority of the shift, with the exception of lunch.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires long periods of standing and walking (as much as 6+ hours per day).
  • Requires heavy pushing and pulling.
  • Requires the continuous ability to: lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  • Requires the continuous ability to: lift up to 20 lbs from waist to over-the-head.
  • Requires the continuous ability to: carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Some assignments may require the ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment.
  • May be required to obtain Material Handling Safety Training certification within 30 days of hire (for applicable assignments).

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in order stocking and filling is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Managing supplies within the operating room space via WaveMark scanner and RFSmart handheld device.
  • Managing supplies within the Surgical Inventory Management space.
  • Downstacking and sorting pallets.
  • Managing supplies for the surgery department.
  • Facilitating requisitions.
  • Inventory management.
  • Receiving.
  • Managing projects.
  • Ensuring orders are filled timely and accurately.
  • Verifying product by description, item number, and quantity.
  • Inspecting products for damage, expiration, and proper packaging.
  • Performing cycle counts and physical inventories in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Coordinating the availability and delivery of products, to include equipment, mail and/or linen.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensuring aisle/storeroom maintenance and cleanliness is constantly maintained.
  • Effectively utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Wavemark Point of Use System (POU), and Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) to document all ordering, filling, stocking, tagging, and registering activity.
