About The Position

This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge, which is predominantly intellectual in character and which routinely exercises discretion and judgment. The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired. With guidance from Purchasing Management, this position serves as a logistics team member who handles project material for a capital project and supports Corporate logistics initiatives/proposals and estimation.

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and three (3) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Knowledge and understanding of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS)
  • Knowledge of import/export compliance
  • Ability to work with supply chain and logistics software

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of logistics plans for the best mode of transportation (ocean, air, land) incorporating customs clearance processes and International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) and regulations associated with import/export.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments
  • Monitor and report supplier's performance toward completion of all deliverables in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the Contracts
  • Collaborate across all disciplines, including Material Management, Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS)/Quality, Engineering, Project Data & Document Management (PDDM), and Construction
  • Act as liaison among Fluor, Supplier, and Client, as required
  • Generate documents, organize and manage files, and maintain tracking data and reports
  • Perform data entry proficiently in the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to facilitate project requirements.
  • Conduct bid clarification, pre-award, and post-award; supplier schedule/quality recovery meetings
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity following organization and project objectives and guidelines
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Focus on Cost savings and avoidance during project execution
  • Support functional leadership and office materials management/project teams with logistics solutions
  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental, and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
  • May need to travel to attend to business-related matters
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
