About The Position

Under the general direction of the Inbound Supervisor, the Logistics Specialist II/Materials Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials. This role also involves inventory management using both physical and electronic methods, including unloading trucks, processing bulk inventory requirements, and utilizing inventory management systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Type accurately.
  • Act as a team leader by training, guiding, and motivating.
  • Prioritize tasks and be able to switch tasks as needed.
  • Ability to follow/direct precise processes.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, D365 and general computing skills.
  • General office equipment
  • Generally, work within established precedent, with some initiative and judgment required.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Ability to move about facility on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
  • Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor.
  • Possess proper authorization to work in the United States and, where applicable, to possess technical data as defined in the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) 22 CFR 120.

Responsibilities

  • Material movement (physical and electronic) of finished goods and component inventory.
  • Unload trucks personnel and directing assigned personnel.
  • Fulfill bulk inventory requirement for both assembly and outside contractors.
  • Perform cycle count duties, including investigating discrepancies.
  • Maintain forklifts in a clean and ready state for operations, including required safety inspections.
  • Maintain warehouse space for optimal utilization.
  • Work safely.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards immediately.
  • Attend safety training and follow all company safety rules.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in personal area and all commons areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
