About The Position

Knowledge Management, Inc. is seeking a Logistics SME for contracted staff supporting Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Installations and Logistics (I&L), Logistics Current and Future Operations Branch (LPOV). The selected individual will be an expert in Marine Corps logistics policies, processes, and current initiatives. The Logistics SME will lead Concept and Wargaming tasks and will work on-site at the Pentagon. This individual will assist LPOV in the development of logistics concepts integration of wargaming efforts for LPOV in coordination with Combat Development and Integration, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, the OPNAV N-4, Joint Staff J-4, and other USMC Directorates as needed.

Requirements

  • Eight (8+) years of experience supporting concept and wargaming analysis and integration.
  • Experience developing logistics strategies, concepts, and wargaming plans at a Department of Defense Service Level Headquarters, combat development organization, or Joint wargaming organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior leadership (to include flag officers or senior civilian leadership) in developing strategic initiatives.
  • Experience with USMC PBBEA, Force Development System, and Marine Corps Capabilities Based Assessment processes.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging Marine Corps logistics issues and initiatives.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance w/SCI eligibility required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Concept and Wargaming tasks.
  • Assist LPOV in the development of logistics concepts integration of wargaming efforts for LPOV in coordination with Combat Development and Integration, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, the OPNAV N-4, Joint Staff J-4, and other USMC Directorates as needed.
  • Coordinate and lead teams to implement concepts and wargaming plans and producing strategy products.
  • Support USMC modernization or Force Development/Design efforts with CD&I.
  • Support the lifecycle of Marine Corps wargames, studies and analysis, or experimentation.
  • Support logistics integration with OPNAV N4, USCG, DCMS, and Joint Staff.
  • Schedule, prepare papers, briefings, and other documents required for logistics advisory efforts.
  • Conduct analyses of new and emerging DoD, Service, and Joint Strategies, Concepts, and Wargame reports.
  • Develop and review tasks in Service-level headquarters task management systems (e.g., ETMS2 or equivalent), to include integrating multiple inputs and consolidating responses (up to 3-star level tasks).
  • Successfully execute strategic plans, and produce creative, high-quality information papers and briefs.
