The Logistics Senior Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight for shipping, receiving, inventory control, and logistics activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, safe operations, and efficient material flow. This role serves as a senior leader within logistics, driving performance, coaching teams, and partnering cross‑functionally to meet business objectives while maintaining compliance with ITAR, EAR, and customs regulations.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with travelers, Certificates of Conformance, and traceability protocols, including shipping requirements embedded in travelers for ITAR‑controlled parts.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Product control under the U.S. Munitions List.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Proper handling of ITAR‑controlled products.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Shipping of ITAR‑controlled items, including exports under licenses and license exemptions.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Tracking shipments exported under licenses and license exemptions.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Product control under the Commerce Control List.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Proper handling of EAR‑controlled products.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Shipping of EAR‑controlled items, including exports under licenses and license exceptions.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Tracking shipments exported under licenses and license exceptions.
  • Proficient in preparing compliant shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoices, in alignment with Foreign Trade Regulations.
  • Proficient in U.S. Customs & Border Protection ACE Portal and filing Automated Export System (AES) entries.
  • Proficient in the use and application of Incoterms.
  • Knowledge of ITAR exemption import requirements.
  • Experience retrieving and reviewing Customs Forms 7501.
  • Experience managing exports involving temporary imports under bond and HTS 9801 provisions.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead direct reports and cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret complex information presented in written, oral, and diagrammatic formats.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong self‑starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Must be a US person (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model for professional behavior, personal accountability, ethical conduct, and leadership standards.

  • Assign, manage, and execute daily and weekly work schedules to meet operational demands.

  • Ensure regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Lead logistics operations to ensure safe, high‑quality, cost‑effective execution of work.
  • Coordinate with production, supply chain, quality, and other functional areas to meet short‑ and long‑term operational goals.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are available to support daily and future operational plans.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide accurate, timely administrative and performance reporting to management.
  • Complete and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
  • Perform additional operational duties as needed to support facility requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Verify accuracy of shipping documentation and paperwork.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits and monitor established inventory levels to determine ordering requirements.
  • Assist in determining appropriate methods and modes of transportation based on customer, supplier, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in proper working condition.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment; enforce and support 5S principles.
  • Reinforce adherence to Quality Control Procedures (QCPs), policies, work instructions, and standard operating procedures through coaching and routine follow‑up.
  • Ensure staff receive adequate training for assigned operations, including safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to and actively promote the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
