About The Position

L3Harris Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Supervisor, Logistics to join their growing team at their Camden, AR site. The successful candidate will be an experienced and dedicated Logistics Sr. Supervisor responsible for overseeing dispatch and trucking operations. This role involves ensuring timely delivery of materials, managing driver schedules, communicating with site personnel, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of logistics and trucking operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate degree and a minimum 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or trucking operations.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to trucking.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Previous supervisory experience in logistics or transportation.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.
Develop and manage drivers’ schedules, optimizing routes for efficiency.
Communicate with drivers to address any issues or delays.
Ensure all drivers are assigned appropriate routes and tasks.
Monitor driver performance and provide guidance and support as needed.
Address driver concerns and maintain open communication.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing trucking operations.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and incidents.
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for drivers.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
Implement process improvements to optimize dispatch and trucking operations.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as necessary.
Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
Communicate effectively with internal customers to provide updates and resolve any delivery issues.
Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance.
Prepare regular reports on dispatch and trucking performance for senior management.
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track and analyze data.
