About The Position

Valeo is a global tech company focused on reinventing mobility through innovative solutions. As a Purchasing & Logistics Intern, you will support site logistics activities and tactical purchasing for high-visibility projects. This year-round, part-time (pending class schedule) then full-time (summer) internship is ideal for individuals seeking practical experience in supply chain management. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of logistics principles and supply chain concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination and monitoring of inbound and outbound shipments, including domestic and international freight.
• Participate in the analysis of logistics data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and service.
• Learn and apply company logistics procedures, policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Help prepare and maintain documentation related to shipping, receiving, and customs compliance.
• Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting logistics-related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the logistics department.
• Manage payments and financial responsibility for shipments.
• Coordinate with suppliers on shortages/material needs.
• Support project team on order placement/reception.
• Create status reports for ongoing activities.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and project team for escalations/change requests.
• Assist on RFQ process for prototypes.
• Support inventory management.
