About The Position

GM Performance Power Units (GMPPU) is seeking a skilled and motivated Logistics Process & Data Analyst to join the Warehouse and Logistics Team. This role will be responsible for analyzing, improving, and supporting logistics and transportation processes through data-driven insights, system optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners with Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to enhance operational efficiency, increase visibility, reduce costs, and support strategic decision-making across the end-to-end logistics network. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with logistics and supply chain knowledge and is comfortable working with large datasets, business systems, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive measurable business results. This position requires high attention to detail and a deep understanding of inventory control, management, and material flow in a high-performance engineering environment and critical support function for the manufacturing, assembly, and development of our Formula 1 power unit.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain analytics, business analysis, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and reporting platforms.
  • Experience supporting process improvement and cross-functional projects.
  • Technical skills including Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI (or similar BI/reporting tools), SQL, database querying, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Experience with process mapping and workflow documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, ability to work in a team, important for collaborating with various departments and addressing inventory-related issues.
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach to process development, continuous improvement, and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial logistics experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • APICS, CSCP, CLTD, Six Sigma, Lean, or related certifications preferred.
  • Experience in production and manufacturing setting or within motorsports or high-performance environments.
  • Prior involvement in continuous/process improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma, or continuous cost improvement).
  • Familiarity with motorsports, FIA regulations, and cost cap reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current warehouse, inventory control, and logistics processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation, warehousing, inventory movement, and supply chain operations.
  • Assist in standardizing and documenting business processes, workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system requirements.
  • Map physical logistics processes to system workflows and identify opportunities for automation and standardization.
  • Facilitate process reviews with stakeholders and develop recommendations to improve operational performance.
  • Support the implementation of new logistics technologies, transportation management systems (TMS), and ERP enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain warehouse, inventory control, and logistics performance dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data across warehousing, inventory control, logistics, transportation, and supply chain activities to improve performance, reduce costs, and support strategic business objectives.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and provide actionable recommendations to workstream leads.
  • Create reports and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and other analytics platforms.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and performance across warehouse & logistics operational reviews with accurate and timely data.
  • Serve as the primary warehouse and logistics data expert and source of analytical insights.
  • Partner with Logistics, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and IT teams to improve end-to-end supply chain performance.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to warehouse and logistics processes and systems.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to operational teams and leadership.
  • Support change management efforts associated with new processes and technology implementations.
