About The Position

The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must have experience in transportation/logistics pricing and feel comfortable pricing RFP’s, large and small bids, and participating in Spot Market load boards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in Transportation/Brokerage pricing
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis) and experience with logistics software.
• Strong ability to analyze market trends and lane-level costs.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting to internal stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain pricing strategies based on market conditions, competitor analysis, and cost drivers.
• Manage the proposal lifecycle, including RFP, RFQ, and RFI submissions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
• Analyze lane-level profitability and costs to ensure margins are maintained.
• Work with sales, procurement, and operations teams to align pricing with operational capabilities and customer requirements
• Maintain pricing databases and update rates to reflect market volatility.
• Prepare and present pricing performance reports for management
• Understand current market rates, what areas are good for each division, and the ability to multitask bids with different customers.
• Reviewing freight rates and new customer rates.
• Analyzing lane-level costs and identifying opportunities for margin improvement.
• Collaborating with the sales/operations team to develop winning proposals.
• Monitoring carrier capacity and market shifts to adjust pricing.
• Pricing contracted and spot market freight
