The J4 Logistics Planner Analyst will provide direct experience and knowledge of the assets available within the AOR to accurately advise the Materiel Readiness Division (MRD), J4 leadership, and command on service common equipment including HMMWV, HEMTT, Material Handling Equipment, and other ground equipment and tactical wheeled vehicles (TWV). This role requires familiarity with Special Operations-peculiar (SO-p) portfolios supported by USSOCOM, other areas of maintenance involving weapon systems, allied trades, and construction equipment, and knowledge of funding sources such as MFP-2 and MFP-11. The analyst will study SOCCENT missions and functions, review organizational structure, work methods and procedures, and recommend adjustments to the concepts of support based on mission changes and theater re-posturing. They will execute management programs impacting the theater's supply, maintenance, and logistics plans, coordinate with resource management personnel, and be familiar with various logistics automation systems to track equipment, supplies, and parts. Understanding of countries, locations, commands, and command relationships in the CENTCOM AOR is essential. The role involves analyzing and reporting maintenance issues, interacting with officials, implementing property accountability and material management for USSOCOM special programs, and understanding readiness metrics. The analyst will solicit, input, and maintain unit Readiness data in DRRS-S, prepare and present unit readiness briefs, and manage the Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) process for SO-p platforms and service common equipment. Support for logistics operations and planning, including understanding DoDAACs and Lines of Accounting (LOA), is required. The position involves tracking, monitoring, assessing, and reporting on SO-P equipment readiness issues, developing and executing maintenance concepts, and supporting supply operations. Proficiency in using advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat for analysis and briefings, as well as knowledge management using SharePoint, is necessary. The analyst will maintain files for continuity, provide advice and expertise on maintenance and readiness, and prepare various documents and presentations. Development and maintenance of an electronic resource for mission continuity is also a responsibility. Travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required.
