Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately measure, weigh, count, label, and document products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong teamwork, time management, reliability, and personal accountability.
  • Professionalism and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse/production environment.
  • All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse, packaging, shipping, receiving, or production experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Food Safety and Defense / HACCP is preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to use barcode scanners is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pack and package a wide variety of products and materials according to established specifications.
  • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools such as staple guns.
  • Use polypropylene strapping tools, strap tensioners, and stretch-wrapping equipment to prepare products for shipment.
  • Process shipping orders and prepare completed packages for delivery.
  • Transport packages to the appropriate shipping companies or designated shipping areas.
  • Load materials and products into packaging or processing equipment.
  • Remove completed or defective products and materials and place them in designated areas such as loading docks.
  • Examine containers, materials, and products to ensure packaging specifications are met.
  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials accurately.
  • Mark and label containers, container tags, and products using appropriate marking tools.
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
  • Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas using appropriate cleaning solutions and hand tools.
  • Safely operate barcode readers, scanning devices, bundling machines, bagging machines, heat sealers, staple guns, stretch-wrap dispensers, and other equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment and follow applicable safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
