Logistics Operator - Blue Buffalo

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
- Forklift experience (preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment)
- Experience in warehouse operations and use of WMS strongly preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and/or Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV/POV) certification
- Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
- Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
- Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
- Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
- Applicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to support warehouse, production, shipping, and receiving operations
- Receive, inspect, store, and distribute raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation
- Prepare, inspect, and load outbound shipments according to customer specifications
- Perform quality inspections, collect and document test data, and support food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
- Support production by supplying materials, assisting with equipment assembly/disassembly, and troubleshooting operational issues as needed
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas, including docks, storage locations, and designated equipment
- Crosstrain in multiple logistics functions, provide coverage as needed, participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, and assist in training new employees
Benefits
- $21.89 per hour starting pay
- $1.00 per hour additional for hours worked between 7 pm and 7 am
