About The Position

This position is responsible for inspecting and verifying quantities and part numbers against documents, recording and adjusting discrepancies, and maintaining the integrity of inventory. The role involves distributing all incoming and outgoing inventory, raw material, and supplies in accordance with company work instructions and procedures. The operator will select and place products into appropriate boxes for storage and packaging, seal cartons, and affix shipping labels. They will operate the in-house parcel manifest system and carrier computer system to process outbound shipments, verify information and quantities on documentation against shipments or receipts, and perform cycle counts. The role also includes transferring material, comparing information on MRA/CRA forms, segregating MRAs for quality control, and delivering CRAs to the repair department. Additionally, the operator will organize and maintain production stocking locations, be responsible for loading and unloading raw material, and assist in maintaining warehouse security. They will operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, ASRS cranes, conveyors, hoists, and moveable storage racks according to safety requirements and ISO standards. The position also involves retrieving finished product and delivering it to appropriate receiving areas, following lean manufacturing principles, ISO standards, and 5S implementation, and meeting company KPIs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in automated warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of warehouse management system preferred
  • Computer experience
  • Knowledge of English language

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and verifies quantity and identifies part numbers against documents.
  • Records/adjusts discrepancies.
  • Maintain the integrity of the inventory, records and distributes all incoming and outgoing inventory, raw material and supplies in accordance with Festo work instruction and procedures.
  • Selects and places products upon receipt into appropriate boxes for storage in the warehouse.
  • Selects and places product into appropriate boxes for packaging, seals and affixes shipping labels on packed cartons.
  • Operates in-house parcel manifest system and carrier computer system to process all outbound shipments per carrier compliance.
  • Verifies information and quantities on all documentation against the shipment or receipt, counts items for verification, and indicates any discrepancies.
  • Performs cycle counts of inventory.
  • Transfers material received from vendors to appropriate stock locations or departments.
  • Compare identifying information and quantities on the MRA/CRA form against the receipt, counts items for verification and indicates any discrepancies. Segregates MRA's in appropriate location for Quality Control inspections and delivers CRA's to repair department.
  • Organizes and maintains production stocking locations in warehouse and shop floor
  • Responsible for the loading and unloading of raw material.
  • Assists in maintaining a high level of security in the warehouse area.
  • Contacts warehouse lead or manager to request technical assistance for equipment failure.
  • Operates all material handling equipment (forklifts, ASRS cranes, conveyors, hoists, and moveable storage racks) per Festo safety requirements and ISO standards.
  • Performs cycle counts of inventory, verifies accuracy, and discusses variations with appropriate staff member.
  • Responsible for the safe handling of raw material.
  • Lifts heavy totes and parts by hand or with equipment
  • Operates powered equipment to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Escalates equipment failure and need for technical assistance to Lead or Management.
  • Moves materials from storage locations or pull off lanes and delivers to designated work areas.
  • Retrieves finished product from designated Production pick up areas and delivers to the appropriate receiving areas.
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles, ISO standards, 5‘s implementation and meet KPIs set forth by the company.
