About The Position

A Logistics Operation Manager oversees all aspects of a distribution facility's operations, coordinating shipping and receiving, ensuring quality, managing staff, and optimizing processes to achieve efficiency and meet production goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field is often required.
  • Several years of experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet customer demand and deadlines.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse Forklift, Material Handler and Supervisors.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate employees.
  • Address employee issues and concerns.
  • Administer disciplinary actions and set corrective behavior goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
