The Robert Bosch Corporation realizes the mutual benefit of developing students over several work terms in the Logistics function. Therefore, we are seeking to hire students who wish to begin their Bosch career with a co-op at the Florence, KY facility. Students will receive valuable training, develop interpersonal skills, and gain increased work responsibilities throughout the program. At the Florence, KY facility, Bosch designs and produces precision automotive steering components and systems sold to vehicle manufacturers worldwide. These include electronic steering racks and various components supporting the assemblies. Below are some typical responsibilities for the LOG department Interns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but not limited to the following Perform root cause analysis of constrains and propose suitable measures Perform inventory reports and analyze trends (bank tracking, FG levels) Assist measure tracking (cross-functional) & monthly measure reporting to VM management Assist with Material Flow Project by tracking AGV/AMR activity, make recommendations for material automation to implement, and join weekly meetings Develop cost justifications for new/updated Automation requirements through Total Cost of Ownership analysis and calculations. Communicate directly with cross-functional departments on any ongoing AMR/Materials projects Work on process standardizations within the LOM department Troubleshoot and perform problem analysis related to production, products and materials. Support with creation of reporting tools (Power BI etc.) to track major department KPIs Work with other departments (Production, Planning, Quality, etc) in support of projects and departmental packaging goals and objectives. Support in packaging returnable management objectives, as needed. Assist in value stream mapping and work instructions. Any other Special projects as assigned.
