About The Position

MCC is seeking a Material Handler to move products to accommodate production and help meet safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards. The role works with other departments to support the company’s core strategies and coordinate workflow. The position requires operating material-moving equipment, completing job and tracking documentation, and maintaining safe, clean, and efficient operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
• Ability to operate material-handling equipment.
• Forklift experience required.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand; use hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; and talk and hear.
• Frequent walking.
• Occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.

• Knowledge of inventory control and shipping/receiving activities.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand job tickets and layouts to produce the correct product to the highest quality.
• Understand and execute plan schedules accurately and promptly to maximize throughput.
• Coordinate workflow closely with other associates.
• Meet or exceed the average performance metrics for the position.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Safely operate material-moving equipment.
• Assist with equipment adjustments and upkeep for optimal operation, including preventative maintenance.
• Enter information into systems for job tracking and payroll.
• Dispose of waste materials in proper storage containers and mark containers with required documentation.
• Comply with facility safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, including GMP, HAACP, and BRC.
• Interact and behave professionally, treat associates respectfully, and follow the company code of ethics.
• Maintain daily housekeeping efforts.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
