ATI is seeking to hire a Logistics Manager to support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This position is located at our Natrona Heights, PA location. This position will manage the operations within the logistics organization; including domestic and international transportation, shipping and billing practices, distribution and inventory control, and assist in the evaluation, optimization, negotiation and selection of common ATI carriers and freight forwarders, while participating in the daily movement of freight. This position will lead a team of salary employees and report to the Sr. Director, Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience as a people or functional manager
  • Experience with using TMS systems and freight movement
  • Proven record of change leadership and process streamlining
  • Ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and develop and implement long term solutions

  • Knowledge of, or experience with, domestic and international transportation and supply chain

Responsibilities

  • Manage logistics operations and procedures to ensure that internal and external customer needs are met
  • Actively participate in the daily movement of freight.
  • Optimize current TMS system to drive efficiencies in the process.
  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, simplification and standardization within the Logistics area and actively support process effectiveness across the other functional areas i.e. commercial, finance, etc.
  • Provide management and guidance to all team members within the Logistics organization and implement change that measures and helps to set targets for efficiency and continuous improvement in the areas of responsibility.
  • Participate in assisting corporate strategic sourcing with strategically assessing the current carrier base and expanding as appropriate as well as the SRP freight forwarders.
  • Assist in managing transportation spend cost efficiencies within business unit logistics requirements.
  • Work closely with other ATI companies to assure best practice implementation of logistics related procedures and processes.
  • Manage SRP's freight forwarder relationships and contracts.
  • Manage return material and skids from overseas and all the documentation associated with this effort
  • Consistent interaction and coordination with U.S. Customs, ATI Law and ATI Risk Management relating to export/import transportation activity.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Commercial teams to drive overall process optimization.
  • Serve as the Export Compliance Manager for SRP working with centralized resources to drive both improved compliance and efficiency
