About The Position
As a Logistics Intern based at Rocket Lab’s site in Long Beach, California, you will have the opportunity to support the team figuring out what logistics providers we should work with, help keep costs at bay and ensure we are building policy and process that helps us execute to the best of our abilities. This is a small team that has a massive impact on the business as a whole. As an intern, you will work closely with your mentor and other employees within the department to apply your knowledge and grow your skills both technically and professionally. Work with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges. Attend frequent 1:1’s with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning while providing progress updates. Enjoy tech talks and network with with other interns and employees through social and professional events.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate program in Supply Chain, or relevant field.
- Must have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- 3+ months of corporate function experience within the areas of supply chain.
Nice To Haves
- GPA of 3.5 or above.
- 6+ months of corporate function experience within the areas of supply chain.
- Familiarity with International Trade, International Logistics.
- Proficiency with Excel.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in identifying and evaluating logistics providers.
- Assist in cost management efforts for logistics operations.
- Help develop and implement policies and processes for logistics execution.
- Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges.
- Collaborate with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning.
- Provide progress updates on tasks and projects.
- Participate in tech talks and networking events with other interns and employees.
