Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or university with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Information Systems
• 2.5 GPA or greater

Responsibilities

• Creating loads for drivers to transport.
• Loading shipments into McLeod.
• Communicating with customers on short pays.
• Resolving issues on unbilled orders.
• Assisting with directing drivers to fitting loads.
• Arranging vacation time for drivers.
• Serving as the first point of contact for drivers for any employment-related issues.
• Learning the fundamentals of the fleet manager's position and the opportunity to manage your own small fleet of drivers.
• Learning the importance of reports for tracking revenue and loaded trucks and how to create them.
• Learning about Hours-of-Service regulations and their impact on the transportation industry.
• Learning the importance of cargo securement and equipment maintenance and how it affects the shipment of a load and the safety of our drivers.
• Learning the process of how we attain and maintain our assets, and how it impacts the daily operations of our drivers and our business.
