About The Position

The Logistics Inbound Manager is responsible for optimizing and streamlining the company's supply chain and logistics operations. This role will lead the end-to-end logistics process from Mexico factory or China origin through final customers. The manager will analyze and evaluate the entire logistics process and operation data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring smooth and timely movement of goods, minimizing delays, and maximizing customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Management or a related field of study
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Some Supply Chain experience with international suppliers and carriers
  • Ability to lead the full end-to-end process with experience in international shipment management and carrier management, as well as order management and cost analysis
  • Capability to manage and lead carrier bidding processes
  • Ability to perform daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring, and to troubleshoot issues with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Excel (Pivot Table & Lookup function are required) and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Willing and able to travel internationally and domestically (up to 50%)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandrin) or Spanish
  • Electronics logistics experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP and TMS or other logistics software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and good condition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, customer service) to optimize the supply chain process, ensuring product availability at the right locations and times.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics process efficiency and effectiveness, monitoring and reporting on KPIs to identify deviations and propose corrective actions.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities within the logistics process while maintaining high-quality standards, analyzing vendor performance costs, transportation and warehousing costs, negotiating contracts, and reducing overall expenses.
