Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. The Propulsion System Team is looking to hire a Logistics Engineering Manager 2 to work at our Chandler, AZ facility. This position is fully on-site. Relocation assistance is not available. Job Description: Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts. Responsibilities include: Manages a segment of the program or function. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to employees utilizing management guidelines & general policies. Program Manager responsibilities include: planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order or mid-size technical services-type contract. Additionally, responsible for leading shipping and receiving as well as understanding and ensuring compliance of Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) storage, handling, and transportation compliant with Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ Years of relatable experience in supply chain and/or logistics field OR Master's Degree with 6+ years of relatable experience in supply chain and/or logistics field' 4 year experience in lieu of degree will be acceptable
  • Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels in the organization
  • MS Project, Excel, Power Point and Word skills
  • Previous experience leading a multi discipline team
  • Previous experience driving process improvement efforts
  • Experience leading shipping and receiving
  • Experience with Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) storage, handling, and transportation compliant with Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) requirements
  • Must be self-motivated, work well under pressure, and be able to effectively communicate to Operations Manager and other Program personnel.
  • Must be able to multi task and be extremely organized
