About E&ES: Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E&ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries. Job Summary: The Logistics Engineer is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of all related logistics processes, machinery & equipment, storage concepts and parts shipments. They will coordinate and provide continuous improvement for lithium-ion battery shipments, as well as battery powered machinery and parts in support of E+ES.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
Experience with TOCs, SAP, MACH1, and / or Coupa
Experience as a buyer, working within operations or with inventory management

Responsibilities

Order packaging and transportation solutions for new product introductions, battery shipments, and work on other supply chain improvements related to transportation and packaging.
Communicate with existing facilities on transportation issues related to receiving, warehousing, and/or line side delivery.
Handle battery recycling activities
Creating/updating transportation systems to ship batteries and non-hazardous equipment
Order packaging via purchase orders
Maintain packaging inventory levels
Utilize and navigate Mach 1
Generate process improvement ideas
Utilize NextGen/Guided Buy/Coupa
Shipment tracking and data entry
Freight charge analysis
